Open throughout the year, the prime time to explore is from July to October, when animals congregate around waterholes and the Rufiji River in the northern section of the reserve, exclusively designated for safaris. The remaining parts of the reserve are leased to private hunting companies, contributing significantly to the management of these remote regions.
