Northern parks
The most popular national parks are located in northern Tanzania and include the Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Mkomazi National Parks, as well as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Southern parks
Southern and central Tanzania is home to Selous Game Reserve, the largest game reserve in Tanzania, as well as Mikumi, Ruaha and Udzungwa National Parks.
Western parks
Visitors to western Tanzania can explore Gombe Stream National Park, where Jane Goodall worked with the chimpanzee population, and Mahale Mountain and Katavi National Parks.
